Successful Filipino Entrepreneur
68Successful Filipino Entrepreneur – Is it possible for the average man in the street to really become a success?
One of the things that I love about countries like the Philippines is that it is actually very easy to start in business. The the rules and regulations are more 'flexible' and red tape at start-up level is much less. Literally you can go and buy a pan, a gas tank and 6 eggs, stand on the side of the street and cook them and hey presto you have a business. There is no way you can do that in England.
To be an entrepreneur is much easier I think in places like the Philippines. What is difficult is maintaining an income level that is high enough to live on!
It always amazes me for example: When you drive to Baguio (in the north of The Philippines) there are about 30 or 40 watermelon stalls on the side of the road. All competing against each other; all selling exactly the same product, all struggling to make money; all trying to get the same few customers. Why don't they see that if they offered something no one else was selling, they wouldn't have to compete!
This I think is the secret to being a Successful Filipino Entrepreneur. Offer something that is not already being sold and do it in a unique and novel way.
When I arrived in The Philippines, I brought my laser technology with me and I was the only one doing lasers. For about 6 years! Now all the copy cat laser companies springing up trying to do the same thing with no training, no safety knowledge and low quality equipment. They are destroying the market with cheap rubbish and they can't understand why I can still survive and charge my high prices.
I have a quality and style all of my own, which they cannot copy and a reputation in lasers they wil never have and that is what my customers want.
This is what I teach in my entrepreneurial school based in Manila. If you want to be an entrepreneur at least know how to do it properly. I have been an entrepreneur for over 35 years and I want to share my secrets with you.
I also promote niche marketing so that you dominate your market and establish yourself in areas of business before everyone copies you (which they will!) So for all the help you could ever possibly want drop by my small office in Makati or visit my website at Argon Management Training and discover how you too can be a .
